This ACT state government organization seeks a Policy and Project Officer to strengthen safety and wellbeing across the education sector. Focused on delivering quality early childhood and school education, the team fosters an inclusive, supportive environment for both learners and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with legislation for safety and wellbeing. Review and refine current policies, ensuring alignment and effectiveness. Develop initiatives for smooth and effective policy and procedure implementation. Prepare briefs, reports, and other required documentation. Build and maintain proactive relationships across all staff levels to advance projects. Contribute to the Project Management Office as both a team player and independent contributor. Support the Directorate by upholding ACT Public Service values in all activities. The Ideal Candidate:
Experience in government policy or program development, with strong skills in drafting, interpreting legislation, and documentation. Excellent communication, project management, and ICT skills.
