Are you a seasoned plumbing professional looking to elevate your career to the next level? We're seeking a dynamic Plumbing Specialist to join our team based in South Melbourne, Victoria. Reporting directly to our State General Manager, Sales (VIC/TAS), you'll collaborate closely with plumbers and key stakeholders in the plumbing industry to deliver unparalleled technical guidance and support.
The role This is key role where you will use your experience and skills across a variety of areas including:
Technical Expertise:
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical support, providing invaluable insights to our sales team and participating in joint calls when needed. Resolve in-market AS&S issues promptly, utilising local service agents as necessary. Act as the SME for building/construction codes and standards, ensuring compliance and optimal solutions. Lead efforts to address quality issues affecting installations, ensuring swift resolution in line with agreed targets. Utilise advanced troubleshooting skills to solve customer problems escalated through the sales process. Stay updated on industry standards and guide the business accordingly, particularly regarding training implications. Training and Development:
Collaborate with the product training team to implement our training strategy effectively. Use market insights to identify training priorities and opportunities for improvement. Support internal technical training initiatives as needed, aligning with our product training strategy. Enhance the technical capabilities of our state sales and service team through coaching and support. Deliver engaging training sessions to plumbers, fostering continuous learning and skill development. Market and Industry Insight:
Keep customers informed about changes to industry standards and codes, anticipating their impact on trends and demands. Influence design specifications based on optimal technical solutions, driving innovation and excellence. Share valuable market insights with internal stakeholders to inform decision-making and training interventions. Conduct thorough market research and stakeholder surveys to guide strategic initiatives and training interventions effectively. About you As our new Plumbing Specialist, you will have:
A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as a plumber, ideally with experience in hydraulics. Deep industry knowledge and expertise. A relentless commitment to exceeding customer expectations and delivering exceptional service. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. Advanced problem-solving abilities and a knack for thinking creatively and pragmatically. Experience in engaging presentation and group facilitation, enhancing training effectiveness. A strong industry network and connections, with the ability to leverage relationships for mutual benefit. Technical qualification or equivalent experience in plumbing, ensuring a solid foundation in the field. What's on offer?
