About Us:
Flo Plumbing is a family-run plumbing business, specialising in real estate property maintenance in Metro Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Plumbing Operations Manager to join our team, oversee our operations, and contribute to our commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Position Overview:
As the Plumbing Operations Manager, you will lead and manage a team of six plumbers and apprentices, ensuring that all jobs are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards.
Reporting directly to the Director, you will handle various responsibilities, from onsite quoting and scheduling to stock control and quality assurance.
This is a hands-on role that requires both management and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise, lead, and motivate our team, ensuring high-quality work and service excellence.
Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day tasks, monitor team progress, and ensure operations run smoothly.
Scheduling & Coordination: Input to work schedule and ensure project timelines are met.
Stock Control & Material Ordering: Manage inventory, oversee stock levels, and ensure timely ordering of materials.
Customer Communication: Handle calls and email queries, and provide onsite quotes for domestic plumbing jobs.
On-Tools Support: Step in with hands-on assistance when required.
Quality Control: Ensure all work meets the highest standards in workmanship.
Project Management: Oversee larger projects, keeping them on time, within budget, and up to quality standards.
Health & Safety: Enforce safe work practices and compliance with safety regulations.
Process Improvement: Drive efficiencies and improvements in current systems and workflows.
Financial Oversight: Assist in budgeting, reporting, and audits as needed.
What We're Looking For:
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in operations management within the plumbing industry, preferably with experience managing a small team.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of plumbing systems, including compliance with current plumbing and gas fitting regulations.
Technical Expertise: Experience in domestic maintenance plumbing is essential; commercial/industrial experience is a bonus.
Problem-solving: Resourceful and decisive, able to troubleshoot and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
Organisational Skills: Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
Strong Communication: Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to liaise with various clients and team members.
Inventory Management: Solid knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and material ordering.
Commitment to Excellence: A work ethic that aligns with our high standards and customer satisfaction goals.
Experience with systems: Proficiency in Simpro is highly desirable and Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
