Office of Industrial Relations (Organisation site: https://www.oir.qld.gov.au/)Information Communication and Technology Services; Business and Corporate Services; NewsteadIn this pivotal role as a Platforms Manager, you will act as the technical custodian of the Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft 365 Productivity Apps, Dynamics).You will lead a small team to ensure the Microsoft technical ecosystem is stable by supporting, maintaining, and forecasting system needs.Reporting to the Director Technology, this role liaises closely with two other Platforms Managers and the Delivery Manager.As part of our dedicated team, you will collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, propose solutions, and oversee the deployment of these solutions to ensure they are effective and sustainable.ResponsibilitiesEngage with senior leaders to understand business strategy and build a Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft 365 apps & Dynamics) platform roadmap which delivers capability in line with enterprise architecture principles.Lead stakeholder meetings that assess technical viability of existing Microsoft systems, work to resolve technical issues and forecast items for future implementation.Develop, communicate, and manage the governance framework for the Microsoft ecosystem, with a focus on enabling users to safely exploit features within the platform (e.g. SharePoint collaboration sites, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc).Manage, measure, and report on performance availability, stability, privacy, and accessibility of the OIR Microsoft ecosystem to ensure system health.Lead a small technical team to respond to Level 2 service requests, working closely with the Service and Support team to support and maintain existing Microsoft systems.Work with Product Owners to prioritise delivery items and lead the delivery of the technical changes working closely with Infrastructure, Cyber Security, other Platform Managers, and Vendors.Manage risk related to technical operation of the Microsoft environment including all aspects of application health as well as privacy and liaising with the cyber security manager through the production readiness checklist.Forecast and manage funding and vendors for platform maintenance to ensure business continuity and growth of the organisation, identifying emerging threats and solutions to mitigate risk.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Further InformationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.
