Platform Administrator

Details of the offer

Seeking an experienced Platform Administrator for a large Government Agency commencing early 2025.
Responsibilities Installing, managing, controlling, deploying, and maintaining the platform infrastructure to meet operational needs and service levels.
Provides necessary support for deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Platform Maintenance: monitor and maintain the operating systems, utilities, and middleware that enable applications.
Optimise system performance, ensuring the infrastructure is stable and secure.
Platform Support: contribute to preparation of software implementation procedures with fallback and contingency plans.
Install and test new versions of system software.
Resolve potential and actual service problems to maintain system functionality.
Deployment: install, configure, and set to work packages to the platforms as authorised, comprising but not limited to reusable components, developed software, toolsets, patches, utilities, middleware, or operating systems.
Install, configure, and maintain software platforms and infrastructure.
Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues.
Implement security measures to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Collaborate with the development team to deploy applications.
Provide training and support to users.
