The roleCockburn Cement currently has an opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong decision-making ability to join the team at our Munster site in Western Australia in a 12 month fixed term, full time role.This role is on a 72 hour per fortnight roster working 10.3 hours per day between the hours of 6am and 6pm.Our Plant Operators safely and correctly operate heavy mobile plant and machinery to manage the loading of product to supply customers via rail in addition to the provision of mobile plant site services.If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive team, where your contribution will be valued, then this is the job for you.To be successful in this role you will enjoy working in a small team, be flexible and approachable and also feel pride in doing a good job in a safe manner.This is a great opportunity to gain production and quarrying experience in a secure and growing industry with the ability to be trained in and gain mobile plant operator tickets.ResponsibilitiesEnsure safety, health and environment standards are maintained.Operate mobile and fixed plant.Undertake housekeeping, basic maintenance and general labour duties.Report incidents/hazards to the supervisor.What you will need to succeedDemonstrated experience in operating mobile plant and/or heavy equipment.Current driver's licence and own reliable transport.Front End Loader Ticket (desired but not essential).Familiarity working in or around public or private rail sidings would be desired but not essential.Strong commitment to health and safety.Our businessCockburn Cement is the leading Western Australian manufacturer of cement, lime and packaged cement and dry mix products.
