The Position: The role of the Plant Engineer is responsible for the planning, scoping, budgeting, and coordinating of assigned and approved capital projects.
The Plant Engineer plays a critical role in plant improvement projects to ensure that safety, quality, and cost efficiencies are achieved, measured, and maintained within budget.
Key Responsibilities: Delivery of projects on time, within budget and to specification Assist in New Product Development Projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget and to specification Positively contribute to a continued reduction in operating costs through the timely delivery of agreed improvement projects Utilize drawing skills to create, edit, and interpret design schematics for project implementation Positively contribute to a continued reduction in injury frequency rates through the timely delivery of agreed safety improvement activities Liaise with contractors to support and coordinate elements of approved major capital works Responsible for the planning, scoping, budgeting, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned projects Responsible for determining project specifications and acquiring the necessary materials, plant, and equipment for completion Monitor compliance to applicable standards, codes, practices, and specifications To be Successful You Will Have: Excellent leadership and communication skills Complex troubleshooting and problem solving Proficiency in creating, editing, and interpreting design schematics Good negotiation skills Experience in analysing systems for improvement Excellent technical knowledge Good team-working skills Ability to manage projects effectively Ability to adapt to changing circumstances Ability to cost projects and ensure budgets are met High level of CAD Ability If you are looking for a role in a growing organisation where you can apply your skills to make a difference, then apply now.
