These changes will slash travel times and improve public transport in Melbourne's east.Laing O'Rourke is part of the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance with Major Road Projects Victoria, Symal, Arcadis and WSP. Our scope of work includes a new interchange connecting the Eastern Freeway to the North East Link tunnels, major road and bridge upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road, smart traffic management technology upgrades and new noise protection to meet Victoria's toughest traffic noise standards. The local community will also benefit from new and upgraded walking and cycling connections, upgrades to Koonung Creek Reserve and revitalised wetlands and open spaces.About the roleWe are currently seeking a Planning and Project Controls Manager to join us on the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance.This is your opportunity to take the lead in managing and overseeing Project Controls on an iconic mega project, while reporting cost and schedule status to the Package Director.Key responsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership to drive the delivery of innovative, effective, and efficient planning solutions that align with industry best practices.Ensure the identification and management of critical project milestones, production outputs, and resource requirements to support proactive project management and successful delivery.Collaborate with legal and project teams to prepare, analyse, and resolve extension of time (EOT) claims and other contractual claims, using forensic insights to support negotiations and dispute resolution.Take responsibility for resource management and team development.About youSolid experience in Planning & Project Controls on large-scale construction projects.Existing knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and processes.Strong leadership skills with prior exposure managing a team would be highly beneficial.We work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
