Skills & experience Planning Officer Drivers Licence2+ years of experience in the resources sector, particularly in planning, recruitment, mobilisation, or site administration is desirable, but not requiredStrong proficiency in the MS Office suite, particularly ExcelExcellent time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing prioritiesResilience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentHigh attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solvingStrong communication skills with a friendly, professional phone mannerPlanning Manager 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management position within the resourcing or shutdown industryAdvanced proficiency in the MS Office suite, with expertise in ExcelExceptional time management skills and the ability to adapt to shifting prioritiesResilience and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsA keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solvingStrong communication skills with a friendly, professional phone mannerDuties & responsibilities Planning Officer Coordinate and allocate workforce resources for shutdowns and project workMaintain systems, personnel rosters, and crew databasesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth work schedules and labour planningTrack and report on workforce data daily, weekly, and monthlyPlanning Manager Lead the Planning and Mobilisation team to ensure timely completion of key deliverablesOversee the allocation of employees within the scheduling systemDrive continuous improvement and efficiencies in planning and mobilisation processesSupport the coordination and allocation of workforce resources for project work and shutdownsAssist with maintaining systems, rosters, and databases, including tracking leave accrualsEnsure compliance tracking, including medicals, Drug & Alcohols, and other required trainingManage the distribution of mobilisation details to employees, including flights and accommodationCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless scheduling, workforce planning, and mobilisationTrack and report on workforce data daily, weekly, and monthlyAbout the company Category 5 Labour Management is a leading provider of Rail, Marine, Industrial Services and Trades personnel throughout Australia and New Zealand.
