Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Planning Officer to work with our client Main Roads WA on a fixed term contract until June 2025 based in Geraldton.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Process applications for third parties seeking approval to undertake work within the road reserve.
Maintain 'Third Party Work within the Road Reserve' Register.
Coordinate response to planning referrals and preliminary enquiries relating to sub-division, development applications and town planning schemes and assist to maintain the planning register.
Monitor and assist customers in compliance with conditions set for development and access applications.
Assist with other enquiries relating to Main Roads reserves and Network Access.

What you will bring to the team:

Experience in planning processes; project/infrastructure related work within road reserves.
Research, analysis and problem-solving skills.
Written communication and report writing.
Knowledge of land acquisition and development processes: project/infrastructure related work within road reserves.
Use of computer-based mapping systems.
