The Role A Planning Officer at Burnie will provide support and assistance in the provision of land use, environmental, and resource management services provided by Council.
The Planning Officer is a varied role and is a hands-on position, requiring the incumbent to apply their exceptional organisational skills to achieve the demands of the position. As Planning Officer, you will use your methodical approach and ability to follow processes to work across a diverse range of planning matters and issues, assisting with research, consultation, and analysis to provide recommendations and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful you will bring: A high level of accuracy and attention to detailDemonstrated ability to operate collaboratively within a team environment and manage stakeholdersThe ability to exercise sound judgment and prioritizeA sound understanding of the legislative planning framework, including strategic and statutory planning processes in Tasmania.The ability to effectively manage time to ensure the delivery of an efficient and accurate planning service to the community.About Us This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified Planner.
