Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planning Manager to join our team at the Cheltenham site on a contract basis until July 2025. You will be adept at using ERP systems and a guru with Excel. We are in the midst of executing a new ERP system which you will be able to utilise to create new efficiencies.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our production planning processes for our Cheltenham site, overseeing a team of three production planners and schedulers to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement production planning strategies to meet customer demands and business objectives. Coordinate with various departments, including procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations. Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Manage inventory levels to minimise costs while ensuring product availability. Lead and mentor a team of three production planners and schedulers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Prepare and present regular reports on planning performance and key metrics to senior management. Qualifications:
Planning or manufacturing background Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in planning software and tools (e.g., SAP is ideal). Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Why Ecolab?
