Your opportunity The Senior Appeals Planner will manage development appeals and provide expert planning advice. Key responsibilities include leading the management of appeals in the Planning and Environment Court in alignment with Council directives, current legislation, and performance targets. The role requires providing high-quality advice and customer service to internal and external stakeholders, coordinating specialist inputs for development applications, and briefing legal teams on Court matters. Additional duties include contributing to team improvements, serving as a planning expert in court, and staying updated on land use and development assessment trends.

A significant achievement in development assessment matters including a thorough knowledge of the legislative environment in Queensland. Highly developed verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills and achievement in recommending appropriate courses of action to internal and external clients. Well developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills with a proven track record of completing set tasks within allocated timeframes. A proven track record of personal and/or professional development through continual learning.
