Job Summary: As Planner / Scheduler, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations.
You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements.
You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.
Major Responsibilities: Manages planning activities for a small area within a project, including Level 3 and Level 4 schedules.Identifies schedule trends for management attention.Analyses data to provide innovative solutions to scheduling challenges.Ensures schedule updates are completed in time to support project reporting requirements.Supports project organizational and administrative activities.Reviews or assists in reviewing proposal provisions related to schedule and material control and develops helping data for contract negotiations.Other responsibilities as designated.Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-7 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.Experience on major lump sum projects with direct hire construction strategy is preferred.Experience on LNG projects is preferred.Required Knowledge and Skills: Proactive self-starter with a proven ability to work independently and efficiently.Skilled in oral and written communication.Good knowledge in MS Office Excel is a must, and Primavera P6 is preferable.Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision.Additional Information: This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.
), and work in inclement weather.
Some lifting may be required.
Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task.
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products are permitted to be brought to the site.
Mobile phones and other personal electronic devices are also not permitted on site.
This position is available to both local and non-local personnel.
