The Opportunity New Projects - Extend your established career into a Senior Planning role.

Continued growth within our Major Projects and Infrastructure team provides ongoing opportunities for suitably experienced Project Planners to join the Civmec team.
As a Planner with Civmec you can expect a dedicated planning role supporting a full planning schedule.
Ideally you will already have former, similar experience and a thorough understanding of heavy industry construction and engineering; we will work with you to support your longer-term career ambitions!
Interacting with the delivery team, contractors, and the client directly, you will be given the autonomy and independence to manage your own scope and deliver a timely, accurate project schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities Monitor production with a focus on ensuring correct resources are deployed to each project.
Produce plans and schedules of work including visual aids such as bar charts, procedures, and diagrams.
Utilise specialist fabrication and planning software such as Primavera to determine schedules.
Prepare logistics plans and progress schedules for projects.
Monitor project progress throughout the fabrication period.
Compare progress with client programs and maintain contract deadlines.
Liaise with clients and subcontractors where necessary.
Maintain historical data for projects.
Select appropriate techniques, sequences, and equipment for all projects.
Analyse fabrication methods and systems with a continuous focus on improvement and cost savings.
Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes.
Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed.
About You Tertiary qualifications in structural, mechanical, civil engineering or construction management.
Proficient skills and knowledge in Primavera 6 is essential.
Prior experience in a heavy construction planning role.
Previous project experience on Construction Projects ideally in the mining or oil and gas sector.
Minimum 2 years of experience.
