Here at Concentis, we are partnering with a Tier 1 mining client to find a self-motivated Project Planner with a passion for overseeing the successful delivery of capital projects.
In this role, you will be working on a diverse portfolio of concept/order of magnitude studies right through to execution, providing planning support to various cross-functional stakeholders to push their projects through the various phases of the project lifecycle.
This is a Brisbane based, Monday to Friday role, on a rolling 12-month contract, with a long-term commitment from the client for the right person. This role requires adhoc site travel and has flexible working options.
Responsibilities: Develop and manage detailed Oracle P6 schedules for major projects. Provide analysis and work closely with Cost Controllers to ensure timely and accurate project reporting. Identify and highlight potential issues by maintaining accurate schedules and issuing reports on time. Monitor and interrogate contractor schedules, ensuring compliance with project and contract requirements. Perform critical path method (CPM) analysis, variance analysis, floats analysis, and trending. Ensure effective schedule development, management, and change control. Support claims defence and monitor progress measurements and mitigation strategies. About You: Extensive knowledge of Oracle P6. Experience in the full life cycle of projects, from design through to commissioning. Proven experience in Project planning and scheduling within the mining, heavy industry or oil and gas sectors. Strong understanding of large brownfield capital projects and their challenges. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a cross-functional PMO environment Familiarity with site execution work during the construction phase. Thorough understanding of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS). Proficient in performing schedule analyses and reporting. Proven ability in managing project schedules, critical path, and trending analysis. Ability to measure progress and develop mitigation strategies.
