Position OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Philanthropy Manager who will report to the Director, Gallery & Visual Arts, and work closely with senior roles across the business to identify and grow funding opportunities to support the exhibition and key engagement strategic objectives.The Philanthropy Manager will drive HOTA Gallery's reputation, position and profile alongside the Director, Gallery & Visual Arts. This role will lead an integrated campaign to increase donations to the Arts Future Fund which engages existing, potential and new donors to generate revenue in support of the Gallery's programs, exhibitions and activities.The position requires a flexible approach to work practices including off-site meetings, after-hours commitments, occasional weekend activities and the capacity to move comfortably in a range of formal and informal social environments.The Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the annual and long-term fundraising strategy with key accountabilities including the identification of prospects, developing proposals and presentations, and managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders to meet philanthropy and fundraising objectives of HOTA Gallery.Key Responsibilities but not limited to:Research the philanthropic environment to inform planning, maximising funding opportunities and increasing revenue generation from trusts, foundations and private donors.Prepare application grants for financial assistance from philanthropic bodies.Manage the business development budget, evaluate and report on business and development activities and outcomes against organisational KPIs, including stakeholder reporting.Manage the relationships with donors throughout all phases of the philanthropy cycle including personal stewardship to ensure high levels of donor satisfaction.Maintain and grow a committed donor base, driving retention and engagement.Manage the development and delivery of a stewardship program that maximises the Gallery's ability to build relationships and secure funds.The ideal candidate will have:Proven experience in philanthropy, development and coordination of philanthropic activities within an art-based institution or similar context (such as cultural, academic and community sectors).Strong understanding of philanthropy principles and the structures and motivations for giving.An engaging and professional communication style and a proven ability to develop mutually beneficial, professional relationships.Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in Philanthropy and/or Arts Management, Business Studies and/or commensurate workplace experience in a similar role.Why Join us?Here at HOTA, our staff enjoy a range of staff benefits including the following:Discounts across all Food and Beverage outlets across the HOTA precinct.Discounted tickets (Cinema, Events and Activities).Four days of Empowerment Time per year - to focus on personal growth and wellbeing!Sonder – our team member care system.Access to Learning Lab – enhancing development opportunities with up to 1000 courses.How to apply:If you're passionate about making a difference and want to be part of an organisation that prioritises people, we'd love to hear from you!To apply for this position, please submit a brief cover letter along with your resume.HOTA, Home of the Arts, values diversity and inclusion.
