TSH (formally Telethon Speech & Hearing) provides integrated services for children with hearing loss and/or speech and language difficulties from newborns to 18-year-olds. A team of education professionals work collaboratively alongside allied health professionals to empower children to hear, communicate, connect and learn.About the RoleWe are currently seeking a trusted philanthropy professional to broaden the scope of our philanthropic activities and partners, to support the core activities of our community-focused organisation.The newly created role will initiate additional connections with corporate and philanthropic organisations to help us remove financial barriers for families accessing our programs, while also maintaining relationships with our current valued supporters.Key to the role is designing and implementing comprehensive philanthropy strategies to secure major gifts and planned giving commitments. This includes collaborating with our leadership team to identify funding priorities, forecasting revenue, planning events and stewardship activities, and developing compelling funding proposals and impact reports.About YouWhile a history of developing philanthropy strategies and securing major gifts is required for the role, what is core to us is your values, ethics, communication skills, relationships, and approach.We are an organisation that is built on our long history, values, and connection to communities and families; therefore, your ability to connect or reconnect with our alumni is an imperative component of the role.A comprehensive understanding of planned giving vehicles and estate planning, as well as Australian charity and tax legislation, is required for the role.
