We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Stocken, a category C men's prison located in Oakham.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £28,690 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing Complete general dispensary duties and stock managementBe working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical serviceProvide a timely and efficient service to the prison wingsReceive prescriptions and stock returns from wing-based clinical areasCollect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of returnsParticipate in dispensing of prescriptions.If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Qualifications required NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towardsMedicines handling experience desirable but not essentialLevel 2 English and Maths or equivalentA non-judgmental and compassionate approachExcellent communication skillsGood IT skills and IT literacyAbility to work within a busy environmentAbility to work unsupervised whilst following policy and proceduresSecure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
