Salary: $106,966 - $123,013 per annum + 11.5% super
Carry out a range of functions relating to the regulation of manufacture, distribution and use of drugs and poisons in Tasmania.
Assess applications and issue permits, licences and authorities for the possession, supply and use of drugs of dependence and other substances as required by legislation and policies.Provide advice, support and education to prescribers and suppliers of drugs of dependence on appropriate prescribing and supply practices. Provide information and advice on regulated substances to a wide range of health practitioners and licence holders.Assist in developing and maintaining computerised information systems for supporting appropriate drug use.Undertake inspection, audit and investigation functions in relation to manufacture, storage, distribution and use of drugs of dependence, medicines, poisons and therapeutic products on a statewide basis. Prepare reports and participate in disciplinary proceedings as required.Details of Appointment: Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 12 months. *Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $106,966 - $123,013 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Registered with the Pharmacy Board of AustraliaTertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia or completion of an overseas qualification eligible for skills assessment through the Australian Pharmacy Council.Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
