About the Role
This is a new dedicated senior clinical trials pharmacist position which will manage clinical trials at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne with a focus on non-cancer trials.
• Management of Clinical Trial and Investigational medicines used at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne including dispensing, drug accountability and preparation.
• Participation in all aspects of clinical trial pharmacy from feasibility, start up and set up, recording, auditing, billing and close out.
• Participate in clinical trial training, quality improvement and quality assurance activities.
• Line management of other clinical trials pharmacy staff including pharmacy technicians.
• Create a financially accountable and profitable clinical trials program that sustains the growth of the clinical trials service.
Classifications for this position will range from classification range SX6 - SX81 ($106,688 - $121,477 per annum).

Your Contribution• AHPRA pharmacist registration essential and relevant post graduate qualification is desirable.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy with a minimum of three years experience in clinical trials pharmacy.
• Team management skills and excellent communication skills.
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

About PharmacySt Vincent's Hospital Pharmacy Department provides high quality pharmacy service to St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, St George's Hospital, Caritas Christi Hospice and correctional facilities managed by St Vincent's Hospital. Pharmacy services are decentralised, and are provided from several satellite pharmacies located in patient treatment areas. Clinical trials are a vital part of our work and we currently support around 100 non-cancer and 100 cancer clinical trials.
