The Victorian Poisons Information Centre (VPIC) provides members of the Victorian public and health professionals with information and advice about:
First aid in the event of poisoning, suspected poisoning, bites and stings.An assessment of the severity of a poisoning or exposurePotential toxic effects from a poisoning or exposureTreatment and managementPrevention of poisoningVPIC leads the EDNAV project, a state-wide multi-site research initiative that examines illicit drug use within Victoria.
About the role As EDNAV project research coordinator, you will coordinate EDNAV research activities including a weekly multidisciplinary surveillance group meeting. You will analyze study data to ensure the surveillance group is informed of the latest EDNAV signals and trends. Your role will also include drafting and completing research proposals, reports, and publications, liaising with external Alcohol and other Drug community stakeholders, managing EDNAV sample acquisition and transport operations, and responding to requests for project data.
About you You will have excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, and clinical experience as a pharmacist. You must have current AHPRA registration, experience working within a research team, and familiarity with statistical software applications utilized in research, along with an understanding of research ethics and conduct within the Australian Healthcare setting.
