Pharmacist Advanced - Surgical and Procedural Services Team LeaderQueensland Health (Organisation site)Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service, HerstonProvide advanced clinical leadership, clinical expertise, and operational management relevant to the speciality of surgical, anaesthetics and procedural services.The Pharmacist Advanced Surgical Team Leader plays a leading role in coordinating the best practice for medicines management in the STARS Surgical stream.Utilise an advanced level of knowledge, leadership, skills and experience to ensure ongoing clinical safety, service continuity at STARS and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement, medicines stewardship and value based, patient-centred healthcare.About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:Coordinate and manage the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic directions, policies, goals and objectives that support efficient, value-based and patient-focused pharmacy service delivery across STARS surgical, anaesthetic and procedural services including key digital transformation objectives.Lead or participate in relevant networks, committees or professional groups at a HHS or state-wide level relevant to surgical, anaesthetic and procedural services and associated delivery of care.Utilise an advanced level of clinical pharmacy knowledge so as to facilitate the provision of ongoing education and training requirements of a multidisciplinary workforce at a digital hospital.Build sustainable collaborative partnerships with other stakeholders and clinicians to optimise use of resources and provide best practice in ongoing care.Collaborate with the Pharmacy leadership team and the clinical and service unit leads within STARS to enhance medicines management service delivery, quality outcomes and/or patient services.Operationally manage the pharmacy surgery team including coordinating staff duties, rosters, workflow and problem solving according to availability of resources and workload demands.Health EquityIt is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS).Benefits when working for usRewarding career and development opportunities across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical areas.Value driven organisation which provides a work environment that is safe, satisfying, flexible, and promotes a healthy work-life balance.Flexible working arrangements and competitive salary rates with annual incremental increases.Benefit from a higher than standard employer contribution to Superannuation of up to 12.75% and access to salary packaging.Be part of a world-class, dynamic and growing health service that embraces technology and innovation, excellence in healthcare, quality teaching and cutting edge research.
