Pharmacist - Advanced Clinical Educator (Cancer Care)Permanent full time opportunity to utilise specialised educator knowledge, expertise and skill in the clinical pharmacy cancer care services field to lead the design and delivery of specialised clinical education and training programs to a large team of specialised cancer pharmacists.
Utilise specialised educator knowledge, expertise and skill in the clinical pharmacy cancer care services field to lead the design and delivery of specialised clinical education and training programs to a large team of specialised cancer pharmacists, other multidisciplinary team members and healthcare students within the RBWH Cancer Care Service Line and for Metro North Health (MNH) wide cancer care service clinicians across The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), North Lakes Health Precinct, Caboolture Hospital and Bribie Island Satellite Hospital.Facilitate and/or contribute expert advice to support the design, implementation, and evaluation of continuous competency-based performance and professional development programs for undergraduate, intern, foundation residency, advanced training residency, general level pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, clinical assistants, and cadets to support their professional journey.Provide specialised clinical pharmacy services to Metro North Cancer Care Services and facilitate the development and innovation of practice to improve medicines management for cancer patients across Metro North.About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Lead and manage the development and delivery of best-practice, evidence-based, specialised clinical pharmacy cancer care clinical education and training packages that enhance professional competence, develop Pharmacy professional standards and build workforce capacity of pharmacy and multidisciplinary health professionals who provide pharmacy services to cancer care patients across MNH.Deliver advanced level clinical pharmacy, efficient and effective medicines dispensary, and chemotherapy supply services to a complex clinical caseload within Metro North Cancer Care Units across a range of practice settings (inpatients, outpatients, tertiary facilities, satellite sites) in accordance with prescribed professional, legislative, and ethical standards, and without the need for direct clinical practice supervision.Provide high-level clinical advice and consultation as a recognised resource in cancer therapy to pharmacy practitioners, pharmacy Team Leaders and other relevant stakeholders for the delivery of pharmacy services to Metro North Cancer Care Services within the multidisciplinary team.Health Equity It is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS).
