The Pharmacy Department is looking for a Pharmacist - Advanced (Antimicrobial Stewardship) to join their team.
The successful candidate will provide specialised clinical and consultancy services within Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) Pharmacy Department and Infection Management Services, Metro South Health.
The position delivers advanced antimicrobial stewardship services to stakeholders/consumers within the Pharmacy Department and Infection Management team at the Princess Alexandra Hospital to achieve excellence in patient care, education, and research.

About the Role Deliver high level specialist clinical pharmacy services as a member of the multidisciplinary Antimicrobial Stewardship team at the PAH in accordance with accepted professional practices, legal and ethical requirements with a high degree of independence.Provide professional leadership and responsibility for development of antimicrobial stewardship clinical practices, procedures and protocols.Apply advanced level independent professional judgment regarding the assessment and treatment planning of complex patients.Demonstrate high-level clinical leadership and mentoring support to less experienced clinicians to problem solve urgent and emergent complex clinical issues.Act as a clinical reference point for antimicrobial stewardship practices including medication review, formulation of pharmaceutical care plans and the provision of advice to medical, nursing, pharmacy staff and other health care professionals.Our values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement and Excellence, shape our culture within Metro South Health.
