We are seeking a Personal Trainer to join our gym team! About the Role
The Personal Trainer will develop, deliver, and supervise training programs for Primary Care Connect's clients. The PT will ensure that Primary Care Connect, in accordance with industry training requirements, provides a safe and professional space to deliver training programs. Programs the Personal Trainer will deliver but is not limited to, will include:
Group personal trainingOlder adults group fitness classesLungs in Action trainingGroup specific exercise classes (Refugee, Women, Community Cancer)Other training programs as requiredThe Personal Trainer reports to the Team Leader Allied Health and works within the Primary Health Team. It is also expected that this position works within the larger Primary Care Connect team, and network with external organisations.
Key Selection Criteria The following criteria must be met and addressed in applications for consideration for this position:
Certificate III in FitnessRegistration with recognised fitness body such as Fitness Australia or Physical Activity AustraliaCurrent Apply First Aid or equivalentMinimum of two years experience in the Health and Fitness IndustryExperience in writing and reviewing personal training programs for a wide variety of clients and experience in conducting individual and group trainingHigh level of knowledge of exercise prescription and personal training techniques, including functional based trainingAbility to motivate and engage with clients throughout personal training sessionsKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety in relation to personal trainingCommitment to professional development through relevant professional peak bodiesExperience using technology to complete daily work tasksProfessional and personal alignment to Primary Care Connects core valuesCertificate IV in FitnessAn understanding of the social determinants of health and health promoting principlesBenefits and Perks Primary Care Connect provides a supportive workplace with staff who are committed and passionate about the community that we work in.
