About this role...
You will have the opportunity for an appropriate level of autonomy working with clients on a variety of Personal Injury matters such as WorkCover, TAC and Public Liability. Some of the responsibilities may include:-
Interview clients and take instructions; Provide and draft advice; Manage claims and files; Draft documentation (e.g. applications, orders, affidavits; disclosure/discovery); Attend mediations, negotiations and conciliations conferences as required; and Liaise with clients and other stakeholders such as lawyers, insurers, doctors, investigators and financial advisors. Reporting to a seasoned Principal and with the support of other experienced lawyers, you will further develop your skillset and have the opportunity for genuine career growth within a well respected law firm. Here you will also have a more manageable file load where the KPIs are more realistic. About the ideal candidate...
Ideally, the successful candidate will be 2-3 years post admission and have some previous experience/exposure to WorkCover (predominant file load), TAC and/or Public Liability matters. They will also be client focussed, have strong drive & enthusiasm and a positive 'can do' attitude.
