This role is a casual position with the opportunity to progress to Permanent Part-time hours. Services can range between the hours of 6.30am to 7.30pm.
We support people living with Alzheimer's, dementia and cognitive decline, disabilities, post-operative care needs and older Australians.
Our services include aged and disability care, transitional care, hospital in the home, and palliative care. We are currently seeking experienced Personal Care Workers who are enthusiastic and passionate about providing a caring, compassionate, respectful, and high-quality service.
As typical in the role of in-home aged care support, you will be assisting with:
Personal careDomestic assistanceTransportationMedication remindersOther activities of daily livingA Personal Care Worker provides support to their clients with daily activities, personal care and hygiene, social outings, appointments, transport, and for the maintenance of a safe and clean environment by performing general light cleaning duties throughout client's homes.
Responsibilities include:
Adhere to Right at Home policies and procedures including participation in Quality Assurance activities.Perform work under the supervision of the staffing coordinator/Care Manager.Perform homemaking activities including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linen, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.Provide assistance and support with daily hygiene needs, based on client ability and requirements.Prepare meals and snacks for clients according to client/family and supervisor's instructions.Provide companionship for the client including accompanying them on walks and trips to social/recreational activities.Document services provided in the client record.Communicate effectively with clients, significant others, and other members of the Care Team.Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills by attending In-Service training.Rewarding work opportunities - making a difference in your local community;
