About the role We currently have positions available for reliable and passionate Home Care Workers to join our team in ORANGE, NSW & surrounds. You will need to be friendly, positive, and demonstrate client-focused behavior, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
You will have experience working with non-verbal and non-visual clients and formulating creative ways of enhancing the human connection and life experience for these clients.
Minimum Availability: Monday - Friday: 2pm - 4pm
Responsibilities will include: Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client.Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties.Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support.Providing support with academic, social, or recreational activities.Preparing food, feeding clients, and administering medications.Observing, caring, and reporting any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client.Responding to emergency situations.Criteria: Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent (Mandatory).Experience providing care to non-verbal/non-visual clients.Have a calm, patient energy.Be open to hand-to-hand contact.Be creative and open to sourcing new ways for interaction and experiences with non-verbal/non-visual clients.Experience with client transports/transfers.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.Comprehensive car insurance.2 COVID-19 Vaccinations (Mandatory).Ability to Obtain: National Police Check.NSW Working with Children Check.Drivers Licence.NDIS Worker Screening Check.First Aid & CPR Certificate.Job Type: Casual
