Your Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are looking for Personal Care Assistants (PCA) based in the South Adelaide area including Marion, Bedford Park and Seacliff. Our PCAs are responsible for providing best practice personal, social, and emotional care to patients in their own homes. You will support and assist in activities of home exercise programs and daily living such as mobility, showering, dressing and personal grooming as well as assisting in meal preparation, transportation to appointments, shopping and undertaking some domestic duties within the home.
This is a casual opportunity offering flexibility to work shifts across the hours of 7 am to 9 pm. We require coverage across a 7-day roster, and you will be reimbursed for travel in between patients and paid additional penalties for weekends worked.
What will set you apart from the rest?
With recent experience gained in a similar role (2+ years), ideally within a community setting, you are able to demonstrate compassion, integrity and a patient centred mindset. You exhibit strong cultural sensitivity and a strong cross-cultural communication ability. Additionally, you are comfortable working autonomously and can keep to a schedule. Additionally, you will have the following:
• Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
• A current working with children or DCSI check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Drivers Licence & reliable vehicle
• Certificates to provide First Aid and CPR
• Covid19 vaccination and up to date Flu vax
