The Opportunity
At Infinite Care we pride ourselves on our ability to provide an environment which encourages and enables residents to remain independent. Our Care Assistants are impactful, resident centric and play a key role in helping us achieve this at our Aged Care Tweed Heads - Nursing Home | Infinite Care .
Supported by the clinical, lifestyle and hospitality teams, you will work with limited direct supervision and be responsible for delivering resident-centric care in a timely and compassionate manner which enables residents to make choices and have control over their support needs.
Please note this role DOES NOT offer Sponsorship and you must have the right to work in Australia.
About You
This role is open to those starting out their career in care and looking for an entry level role. What is essential is that you have a resident/customer centric mindset and the ability to "think on your feet". Communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also.
Excellent communication, high empathy and caring interpersonal skills.
A passion for making a difference to the elderly by being their personal carer in a positive manner ensuring privacy and dignity is respected at all times. including building positive relationships with their families
Very positive teamwork attitude, you are on time, offer to help, be supportive and be a fun team colleague that everyone loves to work with!
Have a valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (if not, we can advise how to obtain)
Enrolled in a Certificate in Aged Care preferable or similar tertiary studies. If not enrolled we can assist with the pathway to study.
Excellent safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears!
Provide quality support to residents with their activities of daily living and help keep their bodies and minds active.
