Located on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, Woodleigh School is an independent, coeducational school comprising two Junior Campuses, Minimbah in Frankston South and Penbank in Moorooduc and a Senior Campus in Langwarrin South.
Woodleigh is currently seeking applications for an experienced Personal Assistant to be based at our Senior Campus in Langwarrin South.
Please note, this is a full time position with 5 weeks annual leave, so you will be required to work in some of the school holidays.
The Personal Assistant to the Head of Senior Campus is responsible for providing efficient and effective administration, clerical and secretarial support to the Deputy Principal - Head of Senior Campus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Diary, email and telephone management
Arranging meetings with staff, students and parents
Typing of correspondence and production of documents
Minuting of meetings and campus administration support
Administration support for the following groups: Campus Leadership Team, Senior Years Leadership Team, Middle Years Leadership Team, Regenerative Futures Project, and Heads of Wellbeing
Liaising with enrolments team to support enrolments process
Coordination and preparation of campus weekly briefings
New Metrics, Compassionate Systems, External Professional Development and other key project scheduling support
Assisting with the Reception and administration staff (including cover) as required
Other duties as requested by the Head of Senior Campus or the Principal
Experience and Skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Demonstrates an ability to work to demanding timelines and to adapt to, and operate effectively in, a dynamic environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with a range of people, including students, parents and the broader community
Exercises ownership and concern for quality of work, reflected in attention to detail and accuracy
Displays initiative and enthusiasm - has a high achievement drive and acts in a self-directed way
Accurate record keeping and database management skills
Accurate typing skills and strong typing speed
Demonstrated database and computer competency essential (thorough understanding of Microsoft Office suite)
Demonstrated document preparation, report writing and presentation skills
Excellent phone manner, proven customer service skills and strong ability to work in interpersonal contexts
Understanding and support of Woodleigh's philosophy
Sound planning, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Operates effectively in a team environment
Post-secondary qualifications and/or equivalent experience appropriate to office management/administration or education
Prior experience working in a school setting
Conditions of Employment
A Working With Children's Check is required for this position
Qualification and First Aid/Anaphylaxis is required for this position
