About the position:
Location: Brisbane (Fortitude Valley QLD 4006, Australia) Experience level: 5 to 10 years Job type: contract role (work from office-5 days) Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Desktop Support
Perform manual installation of software, manual modifications to software, or the manual decommissioning of software on an End User Device.
Configure and support all End User Devices which includes OS settings, system drivers, encryption, authentication, VPN and other Access Management software in accordance with Client Policies, Standards, and Guidelines.
Perform imaging of laptops using the latest image version which includes image testing and management.
Configure and support conference devices that reside in conference rooms at Client Locations and provide support to End Users during team meetings.
Support all peripherals connected to End User Devices (printers, scanners, etc.).
Coordinate with the third-party service provider for timely repair of the system under the maintenance agreement warranty, and repairing minor flaws in hardware if not covered under the same.
Provide support for backup and restoration of EUC Devices and data including providing automated scheduling and unattended operation of these activities.
Monitoring software including malware, anti-virus prevention and management software; and complete end-point-protection software suites.
Support onboarding of new employees by setting up laptop and desktop for the new employee.
Support executives and VIP users and their executive assistants.
Capability on following tools would be preferred: Autopilot, Windows 10 Pro/11 with Zscaler, Intune, Crowdstrike, Ivanti, CheckPoint VPN and Office 365.
Datacenter Support:
Racking and stacking of network switches and servers, if required.
Decommissioning activities which include logical and physical shutdown of devices.
Structured cabling and patching of devices in office/DCs.
Coordinate with Infrastructure teams to ensure devices are properly connected and configured.
Oversee recycling of out of support devices from respective offices and ensure disposal certificates are arranged from 3rd party and handed over to client.

Able to manage escalations.
Ability to handle pressure and a natural go-getter.
Drive process performance to achieve and exceed SLA deliverables.
Create a conducive and stimulating environment for the teams to accomplish their goals.
Good knowledge of MIS and reporting activities stressing over backend.
Ability to handle client interaction (on calls or in person).
Excellent problem-solving capabilities and lateral thinking skills.
