Duties: Project manage a portfolio of applications and prioritise competing deadlines.Work collaboratively with others to ensure accountability and delivery of Permissioning decisions within statutory timeframes.In consultation with the Science Division, Operations Division, and Legal Branch, you will review, assess, and determine applications for completeness, and determine for issue or refusal.Model positive behaviours and support colleagues in their work.Support the Permissioning Unit to implement EPA's Permissioning framework.Skills and experience: Here are the types of experience, qualifications, and qualities we are looking for: Holds a relevant tertiary degree, postgraduate qualification, or equivalent relevant experience within a science, environment background, or related fields. (desirable).Broad understanding of the Environment Protection Act 2017 and regulations (desirable).Ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives, and procedures, to achieve optimal organisational outcomes (desirable).Ability to manage multiple applications and prioritise competing statutory deadlines.Experience and ability to be an influential and effective team member.Ability to use your critical thinking skills and experience to determine the best solution for a problem or complex situation.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.Click the "Apply" button to submit your application.
