The Opportunity:
The Permanency Support Program (PSP) Team Leader is responsible for the day to day supervision and leadership of a team of Case Managers who provide all aspects of case work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in the Samaritans Permanency Program. The Team Leader will be instrumental in supporting the practice of Case Managers to focus on safety, permanency and wellbeing for children and young people and their families and kin.
As a priority, the program aims to give every child and young person the chance to have a loving, permanent home for life and strong family connections. The program strives to work with families to support successful restoration into family and culture and to provide ongoing support for families.
The PSP Team Leader will work as an integral part of the leadership team for Samaritans PSP to introduce a series of reforms that shift the current placement-based service system to one that is centred on restoration and building lifelong connections to family using the principles of Family Finding.
