Our Client
Perks People Solutions have partnered with Integrated Waste Services – South Australia's leaders in sustainable resource management. Their commitment to environmental responsibility ensures that they provide innovative solutions tailored to the needs of their clients. Their head office is based in Wingfield; however, they also have sites at Dublin, Seaford and Newton, plus a presence in NSW and WA. An opportunity now exists for a SHEQ Supervisor to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
The Role
Reporting through to the National SHEQ Manager, the SHEQ Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all 4x SA based sites. Duties include:
Undertaking and designing risk assessments and developing work instructions in consultation with workers Carrying out assigned tasks as defined in the SHEQ Management Action Plan Ensuring currency of work instructions and training materials Ensuring health surveillance programs are conducted in accordance with Environmental Management Plans, statutory and regulatory obligations Undertaking internal audits and workplace inspections to ensure safe systems of work are in place Supporting, coaching and training employees in risk assessments and implementation of controls Scheduling and supporting leaders to deliver toolbox meetings Facilitating Contractors and New Employee inductions Conducting investigations and ensuring quality of conclusions and corrective actions Creating SHEQ reports in accordance with the SHEQ Management and IWS business plans Undertaking other tasks required by the business in relation to the SHEQ function About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
SHEQ background – ideally within a blue-collar environment e.g. waste, manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, oil & gas etc. plus appropriate qualifications Excellent understanding of relevant WHS legislation and the ability to apply it correctly Proven experience promoting and continuously improving a strong safety culture Comfortable working autonomously and creating and developing WHS processes as required by the business Full, unrestricted SA drivers license In Return
