What's on offer: Permanent Full-Time Position: 80 hours a fortnight (with a monthly ADO)Location: Warrnambool CampusGrade 2 Social WorkerSalary: $88,030 - $101,197 pro rata + superannuation, penalties & allowancesOpportunity to work in a supportive multi-disciplinary teamAbout the Role: As a Perinatal Social Worker, you'll be integral to the psychosocial health and well-being of women and their infants during the perinatal period. You'll work primarily with pregnant women in the Women's Health Clinic, providing support to women dealing with health and complex social needs, offering counselling, risk assessments, advocacy, and more.
Your Key Responsibilities: Conducting psychosocial screenings and risk assessmentsProviding counselling, mediation, and therapeutic interventionsLiaising with various healthcare disciplines to ensure continuity of careOffering expert consultation on family violence, child protection, and infant safetySupporting women with emotional, physical, and cultural well-beingWhat You Bring: Eligibility for AASW membershipExperience in women's health, child protection, and family violenceBackground in mental health social work (desirable)Proven expertise in psychosocial/risk assessments and case managementStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across health and community sectorsKnowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practicesA self-motivated, flexible, and solution-focused mindsetIf you are ready to make an impact in a rewarding role, all while embracing the stunning coastal lifestyle, we want to hear from you!
