Full Time From (1.1.25 – 30.6.25) About the Organisation Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) is a responsive regional health service providing a patient centred approach to care when members of our community are at their most vulnerable, and we do this through a workforce of around 1100 employees who provide care 24/7 to a catchment area of 80,000 community members.
Mental Health Services, forming part of Mildura Base Hospital, offers a range of inpatient and community-based services for people with mental illness in the Northern Mallee Region.

The role The PEHP program is led by clinical staff and supported by a Psychiatrist one half day per week as part of the Mental Health Service at the Mildura Base Public Hospital.
PEHP's focus is aimed at women with moderate to severe mental health problems in pregnancy and in the first-year post birth.
The program also provides primary and secondary consultation and some ongoing case management.
PEHP aims to be a resource to the hospital and community professionals involved with young families and provides community liaison, education and support to families and healthcare workers engaging women with mental health difficulties in the perinatal period.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience in conducting biopsychosocial assessments and provision of therapeutic interventions.Demonstrated high level of knowledge and skill in the relevant clinical area.Ability to liaise with and provide primary and secondary consultations.Experience in performing the activities of the position, including clinical assessment, treatment interventions and education of families and healthcare workers.Experience in the provision of education in relation to perinatal mental health and early childhood development would be advantageous.Relocation assistance Up to $15,000 incentive payment applies to eligible candidates.
