As a Mining Site Performance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the efficiency and productivity of mining operations.
Your primary responsibility will be to assess, analyze, and enhance the overall performance of autonomous mine site by implementing strategic initiatives and recommending process improvements.
This role involves working closely with mining operations teams, management, and other project stakeholders to identify areas for enhancement and ensure that operations align with autonomous mining best practices.
This role will be based at the Roy Hill Operations Centre on a 7/7 roster.
Key Responsibilities of the role: Ensure that performance improvements align with safety regulations and compliance standards. Ensure implementation & compliance with Code Of Practice Safe mobile autonomous mining in Western Australia. Collaborate with safety officers to integrate safety measures into operational enhancements. Conduct comprehensive assessments of mining site operations to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Analyze data related to production output, equipment performance, and workforce efficiency to determine key performance indicators (KPIs). Evaluate and improve mining processes, workflows, and systems to streamline operations and minimize downtime. Identify and recommend technological advancements that can positively impact mining site efficiency. Communicate performance improvement strategies and results to mining operations, management, and other stakeholders. Foster positive relationships with the product company to leverage resources and expertise. Support the visualization and submission of Continuous Improvement ideas. Participate in activities such as change management, functional safety and training material development. Utilize data analytics tools and methodologies to derive actionable insights and make informed recommendations for performance enhancement. Implement monitoring systems to track performance metrics and assess the impact of improvements over time. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience in mining operations with a focus on performance improvement. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools. Knowledge of mining equipment, technologies, and industry best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
