Our client, a respected leader in the aged care sector, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager People, Culture and Engagement to join their executive leadership team. This is a pivotal role driving the development and execution of HR strategies that align with organisational goals and foster a culture of excellence and care.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager People, Culture and Engagement will lead the HR function, overseeing workforce planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, and organisational development. This role is critical in ensuring the organisation attracts, develops, and retains a high-performing workforce to deliver exceptional care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organisation's goals. Provide leadership on workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and succession planning. Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution and policy development. Ensure compliance with employment laws, industry standards, and accreditation requirements. Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion. Drive performance management processes and professional development programs. Manage HR systems, reporting, and analytics to inform decision-making. Partner with leadership to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and care. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within aged care, healthcare, or a similar sector. Comprehensive knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices. Strong strategic and operational HR management skills. Experience in workforce planning, organisational development, and employee engagement. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
