Today, we are Australia'slargest port for zinc, lead, copper, sugar and fertiliser.Additionally, we handle more motor vehicles and containerised goodsthan any other port in Northern Australia. The goods that flowthrough our ports are grown, mined, manufactured and used to betterthe lives of more than 800,000 people across a vast catchment area,spanning from Hinchinbrook to the Burdekin and west to MountIsa.
On average, more than 7.5 milliontonnes of goods, worth more than $11.4 billion, cross our wharveseach year. Thanks to our customers, we are one of thecountry's most diverse ports, linking more than 30 differentcommodities to 130 ports in 44countries.
The Townsville port is also anincreasingly strategic forward mounting location inAustralia's Defence capabilities, as well as an importanttourism enabler due to its modern dedicated cruise shipterminal.

About the role andyou The People, Technology, andPerformance (PTP) Lead will drive organizational transformationthrough strategic change management and leadership. This rolefocuses on developing and implementing change management practicesthat emphasize digital innovation, people and culture, and businessexcellence. Reporting directly to the General Manager of the PTPdepartment, the PTP Lead will play a crucial role in facilitatingorganizational change.
Key responsibilities includeoverseeing the change portfolio across the PTP department, ensuringchange is managed through integrated strategies and plans. The PTPLead will partner with Business Units to identify, develop,coordinate, and deliver end-to-end change strategies that supportthe successful delivery of initiatives with cross-organizationalimpacts.
Due to the nature of the project andfunction of the role, the performance of the role will be atPort's Townsville office. Remote working options arenot applicable to the role. 
As the PTPChange Lead you will:
Develop and implement acomprehensive change management strategy for the PTPdepartment, ensuring alignment with organisationalobjectives. Partner with PTP Business Unitsto develop, coordinate, and execute end-to-end changestrategies that ensure the successful delivery ofcross-organisational initiatives. Oversee the development ofchange management plans for PTP projects and initiatives,addressing all dimensions ofchange. Administer the change portfolioacross the PTP department, ensuring integration and alignmentwith strategic objectives. Ensure all change managementinitiatives are aligned with the strategic goals of theorganisation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement andoperational excellence. Identify opportunities forcontinuous improvement within the change management process andimplement necessary enhancements. Collaborate with PTP BusinessUnits to map, assess, and analyse organisational risks andimpacts, leveraging this information to inform the creation andmanagement of portfolio deploymentplans. Assess change risks anddevelop robust risk mitigationstrategies. Engage stakeholders to securetheir support and involvement in changeinitiatives. Design and deliver communicationplans and training programs to bolster organisational changecapability. Provide detailed reporting andupdates to executive management and business unitleaders. Monitor and report on theprogress of change initiatives, ensuring alignment withobjectives. Emphasise the human aspect ofchange, comprehending its impact on individuals andfacilitating their adaptation to newcircumstances. Enhance employee capabilities tolead change as part of their routineresponsibilities. Define the organisational changemanagement capability program, establish a cohort of changechampions, and provide coaching and training to employees atall levels. Implement organisational changemanagement practices that prioritise employee experience,ensuring that changes lead to improved job satisfaction,productivity, and overall employeewell-being. Utilise digital tools andtechnologies to streamline change management processes,enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in the implementation ofchange initiatives. Demonstrate leadership inadopting and championing digital and cultural transformationinitiatives, serving as a role model for others in theorganisation. Encourage and facilitatecollaboration between digital, people and culture, and businessexcellence teams to ensure integrated and cohesive changemanagement efforts. Establish success metrics andevaluate the performance of the PTP changeportfolio. Collect data and measure successmetrics. Manage the inputs and outputs ofthe change management reporting systems forprojects. Offer consulting and advisoryservices to other department project teams on change managementas required. Identify opportunities and offerexpertise to foster resilience to change across theorganisation. Provide guidance and mentorshipto emerging leaders within the PTP department, fostering theirgrowth and enhancing their capability to manage and lead changeeffectively. Develop the capability andexperience to serve as an acting leader for the General Managerof People Technology and Performance whennecessary. Experience you'llneed To be successful in the role, youwill require:
Bachelor or Postgraduate degreein Change Management, Project Management, OrganisationalPsychology, Business or a relatedfield.  Relevant certification in ChangeManagement or related field. National PoliceCheck Current C Class DriversLicence. Proven experience in strategicenablement of complex organisationalchange. Proven experience leading teamsof more than 5 (direct or indirect) to achieve organisationalvalue. Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders atall levels. Ability to create and delivertraining programs, workshops, and communications tailored todiverse audiences. Analytical and problem-solvingskills to anticipate and address challenges associated withorganisational change and training. Team collaboration andleadership skills to work effectively with cross-functionalteams. Flexibility and adaptability tonavigate ambiguity and evolving projectrequirements. Advanced skills in MicrosoftOffice applications (Word, Excel, Outlook,PowerPoint). Experience in using Oracle, SAPis beneficial.
