The Role:
Are you ready to orchestrate talent and nurture culture at a dynamic startup?
We're looking for a People & Talent Acquisition Partner who combines the zeal of a recruiter with the strategic insight of a people partner.
As a central figure in our People Team, you'll ensure Blinq not only attracts but also nurtures the brilliant minds that define us.
Your role will be crucial in shaping our culture and leading our recruitment efforts, from planning to execution.
Reporting to the Head of People, you'll empower our team by aligning talent acquisition strategies with developmental programs that support our rapid growth and cultural ethos.

This is a hybrid role working from our Melbourne office.

What You Will Do Talent Acquisition & Strategy: Drive the recruitment process end-to-end, crafting compelling job ads, interviewing and shortlisting talent, and onboarding new team members.
You'll cast a wide net to attract diverse talents that align with Blinq's vision.
People Programs: Manage and collaborate on key people programs, including performance management, employee engagement, and growth initiatives.
Drive the development and execution of cultural programs that reinforce Blinq's community values and enhance the workplace environment.
People Operations: Take the lead in managing People operations, ensuring all policies and practices comply with legal requirements and align with our mission.
You will handle administrative tasks efficiently and proactively.
While our team is hands-on without dedicated admin support, you'll leverage our advanced systems to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
People Partnership: Partner with people leaders to deliver on their strategic people needs, helping to drive objectives forward.
As a trusted adviser, you'll provide expert guidance on people strategies that support the growth and effectiveness of their teams.
You'll also collaborate on people operations, organisational design, and change management, ensuring these initiatives align with our broader business goals.
What We Are Looking For: Proven Experience: You have a robust background in talent acquisition and HR, ideally within a tech startup or a fast-paced environment.
Your experience should include hands-on recruitment, people partnering, and people project work.
Strategic Thinker: With a flair for both macro and micro-level planning, you're adept at developing and implementing people strategies that align with business goals.
Communication Mastery: Outstanding communication skills are critical.
You're as comfortable presenting to the board as you are chatting with new hires.
Adaptability & Drive: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to change and proactively driving initiatives that enhance team dynamics and company growth.
Tech Savvy: Proficient in using modern people & culture tools and software (e.g., Lever, Lattice, Google G-Suite, BambooHR, etc.).
Legal and Location Requirements: Full Australian working rights are a must, with a preference for candidates who can thrive in a hybrid working setup based in Melbourne.
Now, let's talk about our inspiring work environment:
Based in Melbourne, Australia, our vibrant team of 40 (and growing rapidly) is making waves in the industry.

Fun-fact: Our office overlooks the oldest building in Australia, an enchanting old Irish pub.
Experience history and innovation coming together!

We believe in fostering a healthy work-life balance, board games, and top-notch stand-up desk workstations.
It's all about creativity and collaboration.

Autonomy is our guiding principle, which is why we embrace hybrid work.
Come in when you need to, or work at your optimal hours—whether that's burning the midnight oil or rising with the sun.

And here's what we offer:
As an early member of the Blinq family, you'll enjoy a one-of-a-kind chance to influence the company's direction in a dynamic, self-managed, and results-driven startup environment.
Say goodbye to corporate nonsense and micro-management because here, you are your own boss.
We believe in empowering our team members to unleash their full potential.

Equity in the business and a competitive salary: We value our team members and want to ensure they share in our success.

But here's the real magic: at Blinq, we're not just creating innovative solutions – we're creating a culture that thrives on transparency, autonomy, collaboration, and big ideas.
We believe in celebrating individuality and encouraging out-of-the-box thinking.
With us, you'll be inspired to push boundaries, drive innovation, and ultimately leave a lasting impact on our users in both B2C and B2B realms.

If you do not check all the boxes above, that is okay - we enthusiastically encourage you to apply!

We welcome individuals at all experience levels and take pride in being an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workforce.
Join us on this remarkable journey as we reshape the way people connect and network.
