The Organisational Development Program has an opportunity within our People Partner and Transformation (change management) function. Successful candidates will have a track record in understanding the complexities of, and delivering high quality outcomes within, a specialist and operational environment. Strong communication and negotiation skills underpinned by a customer-centric approach are a must.
The People Partner (Partners) acts as a strategic and operational specialist by embedding Organisational Development (OD) approaches and providing guidance in the effective management of the employee life-cycle. Partners have a focus on ensuring operational excellence, endurance and compliance on a day to day basis. Partners work closely with senior leaders to build capacity and knowledge of Bureau HR policies and practice and enable the delivery of the Bureau's Strategy 2022 – 2027.
Partners work with relevant Groups and Programs under the direction of the OD Leadership Team and exercise independent judgement, influence change, make decisions and provide expert HR advice and guidance.
Key activities include:

Build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders, ensuring a sound understanding of HR needs and issues related to their Group and Programs.
Provide specialist, strategic and innovative HR advice and guidance to senior leaders, working closely with them to improve workplace relationships, build morale and increase capability, engagement and productivity.
Identify and address complex people-related matters via coaching, support and advice to senior leaders and managers.
Collaborate with transformation and workforce planning OD colleagues to design and implement workforce changes.
Monitor and report on a variety of workforce priorities and interventions such as workforce and succession planning, capability development, team effectiveness, culture development and workplace relations.

To be eligible for employment with the Bureau of Meteorology, candidates must be Australian Citizenship.
