The Opportunity The People and Culture team are a welcoming, friendly and helpful team of HR professionals.
The People and Culture Business Partner will provide advice, support and guidance to managers, employees and volunteers on a variety of people related policies, procedures and practices for all areas of St John Ambulance Victoria (SJAV).
You will build relationships within the People & Culture team and with the broader SJAV community enabling you to assist and support strategic and business plan objectives.
You will champion and role model the values and behavioral expectations that support a safe, diverse and inclusive environment for everyone associated with SJAV.
Key Responsibilities
Take the lead providing highly professional, responsive and effective advisory for staff, volunteers and management.
Work with the GM People & Culture to facilitate early intervention, prevention and effective resolution of people related issues.
Play a key role in projects delivering quality outcomes through program delivery, planning and analysis.
Coach, mentor and guide SJAV leaders to achieve the required outcomes in line with strategic plans.
Work with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to support a diverse and inclusive recruitment process.
Your experience
You will have a background in People & Culture Advisory, Business Partnering, People Partnering/Experience or similar.
Degree qualification in Human Resources management, industrial relations or significant experience in a similar role; preferably in a not-for-profit environment/for purpose organisation.
Expert knowledge of ER/IR obligations and managing business risk.
Understanding of the regulatory environment and public policy of the health sector and the philosophy of person-centred practice.
Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills including demonstrated skills in consultation, facilitation, negotiation and influence.
