We have an exciting opportunity for a People and Culture (P&C) Advisor to join our Construction business, based in Eight Mile Plains, providing support to our North Queensland team. As the P&C Advisor, you will develop and implement strategies which enable our people to grow and thrive, to promote our values, and drive engagement. This role will be reporting to the People and Culture Manager who is based in Brisbane and at times will require regional travel.
Your Contribution Build strong relationships and be seen as a trusted partner working with the managers and employees.Provide a wide scope of day-to-day generalist people and culture advice while supporting and coaching our regional teams.Support the planning and rollout of cyclical activities across the region, such as engagement surveys, talent management processes, the annual performance and development process, the salary and wages review processes.Provide guidance and support across the entire employee life cycle.Provide support with various people engagement and change management initiatives in the region, including contributing to the regional strategic plan.Regular reporting for the management team.We are seeking:
Intermediate experience within a HR generalist role, preferably in the mining or construction industry, with sound working knowledge of fundamental Human Resources & Industrial Relations legislation and best practice.Exceptional relationship management, communication and influencing skills at all levels.Empathy, courage, passion, enthusiasm, resilience, and the energy to thrive in a changing environment.An ability to advise and coach leaders on a wide range of people-related issues and develop their performance and capability in the people space.An ability to work with and interpret people data, convey insights and recommended actions to a range of audiences including leadership teams.Great problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and look at situations through a solutions-focused lens.This is a busy role and there's always plenty to do, so the ability to work out what's most important and manage expectations with stakeholders will be essential. We are seeking an effective team player, who sees the value in collaboration and can work at pace to deliver high quality work. An Advisor who is comfortable with a changing environment and has a strong desire to learn and look for ways to improve the experience for our people.
