ABOUT THE ROLE
As
People and Culture Adviser
you will partner with the Senior Management Team to create a positive and engaged culture where people are inspired to perform at their best, feel supported, heard and included, are encouraged to grow their capabilities and their careers and work together to maximise our impact for our clients and community.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will develop and drive the people and culture strategy that will contribute to the delivery of the NCLC strategy and to strengthen the operational people functions across the organisation. The role will work across all elements of the people and culture function, including delivering organisational culture initiatives, people management activities, talent and succession planning, workforce planning, recruitment and retention of team members, learning and development, staff health, safety and wellbeing initiatives, providing HR and ER advice to managers, drafting, implementing, and reviewing HR policies to meet the organisation's accreditation and governance obligations.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will bring:
A broad understanding of contemporary thinking, research and practice in People and Culture for key areas including building a values-based culture, leadership development, learning and development, developing high performance teams, succession and talent planning, employee engagement and workforce planning.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategies that have delivered great outcomes for the organisation in people and culture and enabled the delivery and achievement of the organisation's Strategic Plan.
Significant experience in managing HR and IR, preferably in the not-for-profit sector, including employment legislation, compensation, recruitment, employee relations, safety and policy development.
Strong collaborative, communication and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated capacity to collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels to achieve successful outcomes.
Excellent judgement and decision making that demonstrates effective problem solving and the ability to analyse options and make well considered and balanced decisions.
Experience relevant to the responsibilities of the role is essential and qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Organisation Development, Human Resources or Psychology would be ideal.
