The Queensland Children's Activities Network (QCAN) is looking for an exceptional People and Culture Advisor to support our Outside School Hours Care sector.
The People and Culture Manager is supported by strong leadership and governance and is well suited to an OSHC professional who has current and relevant experience with a desire to work with and contribute to a growing part of the ECEC sector.
As the People and Culture Advisor, you will be responsible for managing and leading sector-wide initiatives that support the professionalism, advancement, and wellbeing of our growing workforce.
QCAN seeks a People and Culture Advisor who has commitment, enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, and innovative ideas.
The role is permanent full-time (could be negotiated part-time for the right candidate) and requires an individual with strong management and organizational skills to promote quality systems and processes.
The ideal candidate will have robust experience in an OSHC environment with confidence and competence in supporting the day-to-day operations and administration of services, with a specialist focus on people, culture, wellbeing, and compliance, including the end-to-end processes associated with recruitment, retention, and performance improvement.
The role will work within approved budgets, liaising with key stakeholders and providing effective, regular reporting to the CEO.
Applicants must have a strong knowledge and understanding of the legislation relating to Education and Care Services, National Quality Standards, Child Care Subsidy (CCS), and the Worker Retention Payment Grant Guidelines.
Key Selection Criteria and Performance Standards: Support eligible OSHC services with recruitment processes, onboarding, and performance support processes.Develop clear job descriptions, employment documentation, and advisory support.Support OSHC services in their professional growth journey by identifying training opportunities and facilitating development plans.Collaborate with the CEO and QCAN Training Team.Ensure advice is compliant and consistent with Work Health and Safety laws and regulations, Employment laws and regulations, and the National Quality Framework.To be successful in this role you must hold: A Diploma of Children's Services and/or Bachelor of Human Resources/Business or a relevant higher qualification.A current Working with Children Check – Blue Card.Hours, Conditions & Award: This is a Permanent Full-Time position with part-time conditions also negotiable for the right candidate.
