About the role The role of a People and Culture Consultant is a generalist Human Resources (HR) position that provides expert advice and supports and makes recommendations to managers and staff across a wide range of activities to ensure the availability and effective use of human resources strategies to achieve business objectives.
This requires the implementation of contemporary, best practice HR initiatives and legislative compliance, in a continuously improving environment.
This position will navigate a fast-paced environment where maintaining accuracy and excellence is paramount.

Key responsibilities include: Provide an active consultancy service for managers and staff on all aspects of People Management including: Workforce Planning Conditions of Employment including Flexible Work Arrangements Industrial Relations Organisational change Grievance and Dispute Resolution Managing underperformance and/or misconduct Equal Employment Opportunity Harassment and Bullying Organisational Values and Code of Conduct Award/Agreement interpretation Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of People & Culture policies, strategies procedures and practices.
In consultation with the People & Culture Manager, liaise with unions, employee and employer associations on matters relating to employment conditions of staff or groups as appropriate.
Develop and effectively coordinate and manage the Gender Equality Action Plan and all required outcomes and reporting requirements.
Success in this role requires an individual who is pragmatic, highly skilled in HR practices, and able to adapt quickly to the needs of the business, all while fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
The consultant must possess strong communication skills, a deep understanding of HR functions, and the ability to work effectively across various teams and facilities.
