PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPIST - PHYSICAL THERAPY - FT DAYSAnderson Hospital is seeking a full-time pediatric physical therapist for our pediatric outpatient clinic. The physical therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family needs within the parameters of the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act in order to deliver excellent patient care.
Anderson Pediatric Therapy Services offers a comprehensive physical therapy program specifically designed for children. The program is led by a team of experienced and compassionate pediatric physical therapists who work closely with each child to create a personalized treatment plan. The therapists use a variety of techniques and exercises to help children improve their mobility, strength, and coordination. The program also includes education for parents and caregivers on how best to support their child's progress outside of therapy sessions. Overall, the hospital's pediatric physical therapy program is dedicated to helping children reach their full potential with the following support:
Evaluation of appropriate seating and positioning equipmentAssessing bracing needsOrthopedic rehabilitationGeneral strengthening, conditioning, and endurance trainingAquaticsThis position will also provide support for inpatient needs for the adult/geriatric population as needed, but core population is pediatrics (birth-18 years). The physical therapist will promote safe and effective care by coordinating care with the physician and any others involved in the patient's care. The physical therapist will provide care throughout the continuum and rotate through the various therapy sites as needed.
QualificationsEducation Requirements and Other Requirements: Education Level: Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association
Certification/Licensure: Licensed in the State of Illinois; CPR certification.
