It is anticipated that this role will work between all three campuses of the Primary School. This is a full-time position on a fixed term contract for two years commencing from Term 1, 2025.It is essential that you have VIT registration and experience in International Baccalaureate - PYP along with additional qualification in coaching is preferred.Reporting directly to the Deputy Principal of Primary, you will play a crucial role in enhancing teaching practices across our three campuses. Your primary responsibilities will include:Coaching & Mentoring: Provide expert guidance and support to teachers, helping them refine their instructional techniques and implement best practices. Implementation of a formal mentoring process for new staff members, including recently qualified graduates. Provide professional guidance and support for new teachers, and a framework for primary teachers to hone their teaching practice.Assessment & Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate teaching effectiveness, offering constructive feedback and strategies for continuous improvement.Home Learning Program: Provide support to teachers to develop consistent practices according to the school's Home Learning Guidelines ensuring consistency and clarity around home learning requirements to staff, parents and students.Gifted & Talented: With collaboration, establish and implement a Gifted & Talented Program encompassing methods for identifying students, design and delivery of programs.Analysis of NAPLAN & other testing data: Testing and academic data to be used to assist teachers in determining the specific needs of individual students and to develop a differentiated approach to teaching that is data driven.Engagement with parents: Collaborate with the Primary Leadership Team to develop and establish a program of compelling events for parents at each campus to focus on areas of importance such as literacy, numeracy and Ivrit (Hebrew).What we Offer:Mount Scopus Memorial College offers a 35 hour working week, competitive salary, free on-site car parking at Burwood Campus, Employee Assistance Program, a staff rewards program, and salary packaging through Maxxia.
